Thanks for checking out the making of section!

I wanted to share some of the moments on set and give you a closer look at the crew and I coming together to make this video. It is also a space for me to say thank you as the crew was just amazing.

Here I am with the Director Antoine Chaput. Antoine came up with the actual video concept and storyboard. We are probably in deep conversation with Alex the DP who is in the next few shots prepping the angles of/with me. Thank you so much for your vision Antoine. Without you there would be no video!

As promised this is me w/ the DP Alex Engel filming two different scenes. Alex was a laugh riot on set with comments like “what a babe!” and “would you really wear that?” Don’t get me wrong-he was creative, professional and quick too.

Here I am with Doug Martucci the hair and make up artist in between shots. As you can imagine different shots require different make up. I like to keep it real so I am putting in this shot where we are discussing what is next while I take all my make up off just to put more back on. (look on the table at all that make up and check out his tool belt!) Thank you Doug for coming fully stocked and for making me look and feel like a diva all day long!

And for the ladies……here is Lamar, deep in thought about how my character just left him! Now Lamar isn’t just another pretty face. He is a body builder, personal trainer and an amazing drummer! Thanks for all your great work Lamar!

This is the best I can do with a crew shot. We were all so busy and on a time schedule so we couldn’t all look at the camera at the same time. Next to Lamar is his sister Erica. Thanks for bringing your car down girl!

I’d also like to point out the brunette not facing the camera, wardrobe stylist Beth Mosner who is putting the scarf around me. Thank you Beth for keeping me looking lovely and most importantly making sure the sheet didn’t fall off of me!

The blond in the forefront (not facing the camera) is Julie Stahl owner of Goldilocks Films. (Along with Athena who has now joined us and is no longer in Julie’s belly) Here she is again with the director and DP checking out a scene. (No, I have no idea what the pillow is doing there) Thank you for all your generosity Julie. You are the angel of this project.

So who is missing? The photographer Champion. When I got all the pictures back I exclaimed “wow you took that many?” This man was doing his job so well, I never saw him do it! I told him to get everything on film and he did. www.championeyephotography.com

I’d like to share some of my favorites with you. Yes they are all in that black/white style but I love it, I said my favorites right?

Funny things you would only know if you were there……

I must have been caught nearly naked at least 3 times due to the open style of the loft we filmed in and the necessary costume changes.

During the letter writing scene I have sweat pants around my ankles. I had to wear pants because the robe was short and would fly open. Ever the lady I am I dropped them when they started filming and yanked them back up when it was complete.

Doug and I were taking off my make up and getting ready for the next scene when the DP and Director burst in telling us we had to get outside at that moment to catch the afternoon sun(it had been gray earlier) I threw on the dress because it was the easiest and ran out. Subsequently I was filmed with no make up on during the outside scenes!

While Lamar and I were arguing on the streets of NYC some pedestrians passing by  did not see the camera at the end of the street and started covering their mouths and looking back at us in shock as I was serving up some serious attitude. (loudly)

A few minutes into the above seen while Lamar and I were deep into it I burst out laughing due to a face he made. It stopped the scene dead and I could hear members of the crew screaming you are not supposed to be laughing Doreen. (Who you telling?)

Things you may want to know but might not ask…

Yes, I am wearing nothing under the sheet but a thong in the opening bedroom scene.

Yes, the handbag is mine. It’s a tiffany and fred-got it as a gift from a company I used to work for.

Yes, the outside and interior scenes were filmed near NYU.

Yes, the brick walls are all real.

The tattoo on Lamar’s chest is of him (as a child) and his father.

The producer of the track is Kyle Kelso (www.kylekelso.com) He does rock music exclusively now.

No, I don’t know how they made the candle go out.
